As we were leaving Hyatt Lost Pines Monday afternoon we saw several helicopters dropping water just down the road on the other side of Highway 71. We stopped to watch them for a couple of minutes before heading in the opposite direction looking for an alternate way home.
Here's a short video I took of one of the helicopters who was filling up at a nearby pond and made several passes/drops over the Wyldwood area just off Highway 71 West of Bastrop on the Union Chapel fire.
